A unique website for a unique London hotel

The Chateau Denmark homepage

About Chateau Denmark

Featuring 55 rooms and apartments spread across 16 buildings in and around London's Denmark Street, Chateau Denmark is anything but ordinary.  Forming part of the soho neighbourhood Chateau Denmark's location on Denmark Street has a famous legacy in the British music scene and features in many musical footnotes including the street where rock'n'roll legends such as the Rolling Stones recorded and Hendrix and Bowie could often be found. The property where punk legends The Sex Pistols lived forms part of Chateau Denmark and yes you can stay in it!

Guests can indulge their rebellious spirit and hangout in immersive session rooms perhaps best described as hedonistic. Designed by Taylor Howes accommodation features black leather floors, superb sound systems, finest bold furniture, stylish decor, oversized roll-top bathtubs not to mention a bar which stock bottles of spirits, champagne or a favourite cocktail.  Many rooms feature original architectural details (some are grade ii listed), all have a sense of fun.

On arrival (nearest underground: Tottenham Court Road) your personal butler will show you to the (often concealed) entrance to your building and your room.    Once you've settled in why not adjourn to Thirteen, Chateau Denmark's bar (and, some say, the best bar in Soho) for drinks and small plates.  Thirteen even has an underground haunt called Dial 8.  Chateau Denmark forms part of the Outernet district so you'll find lots going on -  attractions such as The Now Building, The Now Arcade, Here London and The Lower Third showcase creativity and offer escapism are all in the immediate vicinity plus Soho's other attractions are all within staggering distance - and if you need a reservation just inform your butler!

Information, Inspiration, Community and Calls to action

The website for Chateau Denmark needed to fulfil various criteria:

  • It had to look great, with an aesthetic and design language that reflects the same attention to detail and craftsmanship of the physical destination

  • Be fast, robust, secure and work well on mobile and desktop

  • Provide practical information about the hotel, it's location, rooms and apartments right down to the small details eg details about the bed or bathrobes, sustainability etc

  • Seamlessly integrate with the PMS system used by Chateau Denmark (Mews) - this is how visitors would see availability and reserve rooms

  • Inspire visitors - this is truly unique hotel with unique buildings a location on one of the most famous streets in London

  • Reflect the creative expression and ethos of Chateau Denmark

  • Place Chateau Denmark within the wider context of Outernet London

  • Build and elevate a sense of community online to match that the building's and street's real work communities

  • Provide clear calls to action be that make a reservation at Thirteen, book a room, sign up to newsletter, follow on social media or subscribe to our playlists

  • Be easy for staff to update

  • Aid with the recruitment of staff

A flexible publishing platform

To meet the above requirements we've designed and delivered a fully content managed website that acts as a flexible publishing platform.  Staff can easily create pages by arranging modular content elements and link to those pages via conventional navigation or hub pages.  This means pages can easily be created to support campaigns, marketing initiatives or themes eg London Fashion Week or Christmas at Outernet etc.

The site uses the Statamic CMS and integrates with various third party systems including Revinate hospitality CRM our own Malcolm! customer self service platform which is used to capture guest requests and preferences ahead of check-in.
